More Good News!

Well, first there was Guy and Nik. Now two writers I hang out with at the Writing Asylum have great news.

First up, Jane Hicks made the short list for the Dundee International Book Prize with Modall. The prize on offer is TEN THOUSAND squid and a publication deal.

Next, Amanda Hodgkinson has sold her debut novel 22 BRITTANIA ROAD to Fig Tree (an imprint of Penguin).

Oh, and Sophia Bennett and Threads are storming the fiction world. Threads SOLD OUT in Norway. Threads has also sold to Japan. How to make Barry Cunningham a happy man!

Speaking of BC, The Times/Chicken House Competiton 2010 shortlist has been announced.

MUNCLE TROGG by Janet Foxley
A SONG FOR NICKY MOON by Miles Cain
LUCKY ALBION by Chris Hill
HAIR by Ash Walker
THE SERPENT HOUSE by Bea Davenport.

Good luck and congratulations to everyone.

So when are we going to hear some good news from you?

It must be soon, surely?

I imagine there's a lovely spot for Windsor on the bookshelves at Waterstones.
